Thomas “Tommy” Glenn Thomas of Odessa went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 1, 2014. Tommy was born on Dec. 7, 1982, in Odessa, Texas. He was a 2001 graduate of Permian High School, and a graduate of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Pleasant Valley in May, Texas. Tommy is survived by his dad, Harold Q. Thomas and his wife Teri of Brownwood, Texas; his mom, Suzan Sands and her husband Rodney of Odessa, Texas; brother, Kenneth E. Thomas and his wife Kimberly, and nephew, Kason of Boerne, Texas; sister, Heather A. Anderson and her husband Matthew, of Hampton, Va.; step-sister, DeShea L. Nixon and her husband Joey, of Odessa, Texas; step-brother, Cyle Bevers of Odessa, Texas; step-sister, Afton Sands-Puryear her husband Geoffrey, and nephew, Declan of Cedar Park, Texas; step-brother, Parker Sands his wife Ashley, and nephew, Keller of Abilene, Texas; step-brother, Carson Sands and his wife Teran of Plano, Texas; grandmother, Bobbie J. Thomas of Odessa, Texas; granddad, Glenn Wiersma, of Odessa, Texas; a step-granddad, Bob Roberts of Odessa, Texas; and numerous family members and friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his granddad, Everett R. Thomas of Brownwood, Texas; a grandmother, Joyce Wiersma of Odessa, Texas; and step-grandma, Phyllis A. Roberts of Odessa, Texas. Tommy’s favorite things to do were playing the drums and being in the outdoors fishing at the lake.
