Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2007, at Heartland Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mickey Munoz officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Heartland Funeral Home. Arthur Jim Snodgrass was born July 4, 1950, in Gorman, Texas, the son of Owen Vernon and Annie Jewel Arnold Snodgrass. He was a lead oil field mechanic for Western Gas Resources for 21 years, retiring in 2005. He married Fannie Munoz on March 5, 1971, in Midland, Texas. They moved from Midland six years ago to Lake Brownwood. PaPa, as he was called by his nine grandchildren, loved fishing, camping, shooting pellet guns and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan and could be found shouting at the TV when they were playing. Jim was an inspiration to everyone he met, and he could engineer anything that wasn’t working. His family thought he walked on water and that he was MacGyver in as flannel jacket because he was so resourceful. Jim will be missed by all of them. Survivors include his loving wife, Fannie Snodgrass of Lake Brownwood; daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie Ann and Keith Powell, and Janie and Larry Hamilton; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Maria Snodgrass Jr., and Tony and Bernadette Snodgrass, all of Midland; nine beloved grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Alli, Ryan, Chloe, Kya, Jayson, Jordon and Joshua; a great grandchild, Nathan Martinez; brother, Preston Snodgrass of New Port News, Va.; sisters, Barbara Eoff of Clyde, Garlene Easterly of Midland and Elsie Barton of Midland; and stepchildren, Chasiti Hamilton, Justtinne Hamilton and Valerie Hamilton, all of Midland. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Mark Anthony Snodgrass; two brothers, Vernon and Owen Douglas Snodgrass; and a sister, Joy McKenzie.
