Funeral services for Troy Fortner Osburn, age 91, of Humble and formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Derek Osburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Wednesday. She died Friday afternoon Feb. 13, 2009, in the Kingwood Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1917, in the Holder community, the daughter of Loyd and Sallie Fortner. While living in Brownwood, Mrs. Osburn was a member of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her two sons, Jerry Osburn and wife, Laurie, of Levelland and Richard Osburn and wife, Stephanie, of Kingwood. Nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Doy Fortner, Loy Fortner and Fleek Fortner, and two sisters, Coy McCord and Dolly Woods. Memorials are requested to be made to the University Baptist Church in Waco, the University Baptist Church Kenya Mission, or to Covenant Hospital/Levelland Foundation.
