BROWNWOOD -- Gillie McMurry, 84, of Fort Worth, died Friday in a Fort Worth hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, with Alvis Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Mrs. McMurry was born in Brown County and was a seamstress and a homemaker. She lived most of her life in Brown County and moved to Fort Worth a year ago. She was a member of Brady Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ayres of Fort Worth and Dorothy Pinkston of Houston; one son, W.T. McMurry, Jr. of Arlington; three sisters, Winona McMurry of Odessa, Leota Hull of Bowie and Melladee Rogers of Blanket; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
