Debra Matney, 51, of Brownwood died Saturday, April 21, 2006, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Matney will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at the May United Methodist Church with pastor Lynn Starnes officiating. Interment of her cremains will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Davis-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Sept. 24, 1954, at Matador, Texas, and had been a resident of Brown County since 1995. She was a member of May United Methodist Church and was office manager for a cotton gin. Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Geffken of Amarillo; two grandsons, Clayton and Colton Geffkin of Amarillo; her mother, Evelyn Grant of Brownwood; her sisters, Shirley Collins of Midland and Tammy Davis of Lubbock; and her brothers, Jack Krieger of Castroville, Delbert Matney of Copperas Cove, Doug Matney of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Jackie Dale Krieger of Magnolia. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
