Funeral services for Myrle Eoff, 94, of Brownwood, formerly of Owens, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Eoff passed away on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Songbird Nursing Home in Brownwood, Texas.
Myrle Emily Bagley was born on June 23, 1915, in Baby Head, Texas, the only child of Harry and Annie Wells Bagley. She grew up in Owens and attended school at Clio. On Nov. 18, 1935, she was married to J.A. Eoff and together they made their home in Owens. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her greatest passion in life was caring for her family, and making sure their home was filled with love. She also enjoyed working in her garden and canning. Mrs. Eoff was a member of Salt Creek Baptist Church and had been a member of the Owens Home Demonstration Club for over 60 years.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Dwaine "Chick" Eoff and wife Linda, of Owens and Wellbourne "Chick" Eoff and wife Janet, of Brownwood; and daughter, Barbara Glenn and husband Gene, of Brownwood. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Annie Bagley; husband, J.A. Eoff Jr., and a son, Kenneth Eoff.
