Funeral services for George Marshall Crume, 87, of May, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Visitation was from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Crume died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Mr. Crume was born Nov. 7, 1915, in May. He married Dempsey Fortner in Brownwood on March 18, 1950. He was a farmer and rancher. He was a lifetime resident of May and a member of May United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dempsey Fortner Crume of May; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Debbie Crume and Joe and Lorie Crume, all of May; three grandchildren, Amber Crume, Shelby Crume and Jared Crume, all of May; two sisters, Ozell Chambers of Early and Pat Wood of Dallas; and a number nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Amy Fredonia Wright Crume and a sister, Agnes Chambers.
