Mr. Boyd was born in Brown County, Texas to George and Lottie Boyd. He married Dorothy Davis on December 31, 1938 in Blanket, Texas.
Thurman was retired for Lone Star Gas after 35 year and then farmed and ranched. He loved the outdoors and loved and supported his family. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He passed away at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law; one son and daughter-in-law; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Thurman was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roland and Raymond Boyd.
