Mr. Bigbee was born in Hamilton, Texas to Arthur Carter and Elizabeth Syndonia Davis Bigbee. He graduated from May High School in 1938. He was married to Hazel Myrick on April 25, 1942, in May. He went into the U.S. Army following his marriage and served during World War II. He then returned to Texas and attended Howard Payne College in Brownwood and graduated in 1948, then graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1954. He pastored churches across Texas until he retired in 1986.
Jesse passed away in Brownwood, Texas. He is survived by his wife; two sons; two daughters; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. Information from the Brownwood Bulletin.
