MAY -- Funeral services for Norman Lee Beck, 66, of May, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6 at the May First Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Hester officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Norman Lee Beck, 66, of May, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Lubbock Covenant Hospital after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 31, 1938, in the Holder Community. He was one of 10 children in the Beck family. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He attended school at Williams and May High Schools. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Melton Beck; and one sister, Johnnie Eggar. Survivors include three brothers, Vernon Beck of Henderson, J.H. Beck of the Holder Community and Adron Beck of May; and four sisters, Viola Cox of Brownwood, Velma Lancaster of Rising Star, Jewel Snow of Waterford, Calif. and Vada Childers of Tye.
