Robert Ervin Baumguardner, 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009. He was surrounded by his family at his home in North Lake.
He was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Mason County to D.J. and Odessa Baumguardner. He was married to Ader Graves on Oct. 13, 1953, in Brownwood, Texas. They parented five children together.
“Bob” made his living as a professional roofer and had his own business for quite some time. He was a loving dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. His smile was priceless as well as his heart.
He is survived by his loving wife; three children and their spouses, son Robert and wife Karen of Lake Brownwood, daughter Kathy Hyden and husband Leon of Brownwood, and daughter Nelda Jowers of Lake Brownwood; and son-in-law Perry Davis of Lake Brownwood. His legacy also includes 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Sheila Davis; son, Richard Baumguardner; and grandson, Joey Hyden.
Family visitation will commence from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Blaylock Funeral Home, 1914 Indian Creek Rd. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery with Bro. Terry Way officiating.
Bob was loved and cherished by many, and will be greatly missed.
