Charlie Mae Barron, 72
Graveside services for Charlie Mae Barron, 72, of Santa Anna were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Valley Cemetery near May with Rev. Richard Hetzel officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home of Brownwood. Mrs. Barron passed away on Monday, October 18, 2004 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 6, 1932 in Cross Cut, the daughter of the late Charles R. and Willie Mae Watson. On September 29, 1952, she married T. J. Barron in Brownwood. She had been a resident of Santa Anna since 1999 after living in Brownwood most of her life. She was a Baptist, a member of the VFW Auxiliary and had worked for White Floral for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Ronnie Barron; one brother,Vernon Watson; and one sister, Mattie Lou Woodard.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Barron of Brownwood, Lynn Barron of Marion and Norman Barron of Brownwood; one daughter, Julia Musick of Blanket; four brothers, Freddy Watson, Joe Watson, Herman Watson, and James Watson, all of Coleman; three sisters, Thelma Brooker of Santa Anna, Velma Wright of Merkel and Louise Collins of Weatherford; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
