MAY -- Funeral services for Patricia Ammons, 71, of May, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom McCollister officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ammons died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Mrs. Ammons was born on May 1, 1931, in Locust Grove, Okla. She married William “Bill” Ammons in Pampa on Jan. 3, 1949. She had lived at Lake Brownwood since 1986. She was a homemaker. Survivors include husband, William G. Ammons of Lake Brownwood; children, Pam and Tom McCollister of Liberty Hill, Cindy and Jimmy Smith of Brownwood, Shane and Angie Ammons of Allen; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Wallace and Mattie Hysen Smith; and five sisters.
