Funeral services for Hal Dean Michael, 65, of May, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at the Higginbotham Funeral Chapel with Richard Massey officiating. Burial will follow in the May Cemetery under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Michael died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Mr. Michael was born Oct. 16, 1937, in May, to Floyd E. and Lonnie Ludene McDaniel Michael. He had lived in May most of his life. He was a self-employed electrician and a member of the National Guard. He was also a member of the Church of Christ in May. Survivors include two sons, Jacky Michael of Brownwood and Kenneth Michael of May; sister, Linda Gowin of Abilene; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Michael.
