Virginia (Gray) McBride was born on March 16, 1927 in Rising Star,Texas to Raymond and Virginia Harriett (Alford) Gray. She graduated from Rising Star High School, where she was a cheerleader. She married Cloyce E. McBride in Stephenville, Texas on December 7, 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church in Rising Star for her entire life. She loved writing and had a love of antique books, and had an article published in a magazine regarding her design ideas. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She was active in her community and was respected and loved for her contributions.
