Funeral services for Jimmy Don Bailiff, age 56, of Dallas , will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations. Mr. Bailiff died July 10, 2010 at Doctors Hospital in Dallas . Jimmy was born May 12, 1954 in Haskell , Texas . After graduating from Plano High School in 1972, he served in the U.S. Navy conducting electronic surveillance operating in both Japan and Puerto Rico . He married Carmel Donnellan on April 10, 2007 in Dallas . While a most earnest mechanical engineer, computer novice, avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast, favorite moments were simple and serene, with his dear wife, Carmel . Jimmy is survived by his wife, Carmel Bailiff, daughter, Keli Jennings; son, Jared Bailiff E6 U.S. Navy; parents, James and Ann Bailiff of Brownwood and Martha Close of Big Sandy; brothers, David, Howard, Steven; sister Starla Cason, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
