Funeral services for Doris Jean Marney, age 79, of Bangs, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 13, 2019, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd King officiating. Burial will follow in the Bangs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Mrs. Marney passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in Brownwood. Doris Jean Hunter was born on March 27, 1940 in Grove, Oklahoma to Lee Roy and Evelyn (Whittington) Hunter. Jean is survived by her husband, Marvin Marney of Bangs; a daughter, Kim Erwin and husband Nathanael of Paraloma, Arkansas; a son, Kevin Marney and wife Misti of Bangs; three grandsons, Caleb and Ethan Erwin and Zach Marney; a granddaughter, Maegan Archer of Dierks, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Ann Marney and husband Jerry of Bangs and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
