BANGS -- Funeral services for Leona G. Johnson, 90, of Bangs, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie White officiating. Burial will be in the Bangs Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Johnson was born on March 17, 1912, in Rouse, Colo., the daughter of Alex and Stella Crouse Furgason. She married Claude W. Johnson on July 18, 1947, in Seattle, Wash. She had been a resident of Bangs since 1973, formerly of Arthur City and Seattle, Wash. She was a member of the New Testament Holiness Church of Bangs.
Survivors include her husband, Claude W. Johnson of Bangs; son, Timothy Johnson of Lynnwood, Wash.; daughter, Gloria Shetlar and husband, Thomas, of Seattle, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Stella Furgason; and one brother.
