Funeral services for Hugh H. Fox, 98, of Euless and formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military and Masonic Rites will follow at Bangs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Fox went peacefully home Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016.
Hugh Hannon Fox was born Jan. 5, 1918 in Happy to Claude Hannon and Bessie Gladys (Hendrix) Fox.
Hugh proudly served his country in the Army 131st Field Artillery, Medical BN. 36th Division.
While he was in the Army, he married Beatrice Smith on Feb. 8, 1942. She preceded him in death in March 1999.
After leaving the service, Hugh owned and operated Fox Chemical Supplies here in Brownwood until his retirement. Hugh was a dedicated member of Brownwood Masonic Lodge A.F.&A.M. #279, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shrine, American Legion, VFW and DAV.
Hugh leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Pamela Flynn of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Katie Norton Botik and husband Marc; great-granddaughter, Lucy Elizabeth Botik; two step-grandsons, Shelley Norton and Wylie Norton of San Angelo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, George C. Fox, Claude H. Fox, Iola Marie Davis and Jimmie Lou Davis.
