BANGS -- Graveside services for William R. Boston, 72, of Bangs, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11 in Bangs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Boston died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at an Abilene hospital.
Mr. Boston was born April 24, 1930, in Kittery, Me., to Don Richard and Elenore Maynard Boston. He served for over 25 years in both the Navy and the Air Force. He retired from active military duty in 1971. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, AMVETS and the Air Force Sergeants Association. He had been a resident of Bangs since 1982.
Survivors include longtime companion, Elveda Murray of Bangs; daughter, Claytie Barnett of Arkansas; son, W. R. Boston of Bangs; brother, Arron Browder of Shallowmar, Fla., and numerous friends.
